Kenneth Ward named Executive Director of College Bound

College Bound, Inc. Appoints Kenneth A. Ward as Executive Director 

Washington, D.C. — College Bound, Inc. announced today that Kenneth A. Ward has been named Executive Director of the Washington, D.C. based non-profit. Mr. Ward has been with the organization for the last 12 years and most recently served as the Site Leader. In his new role, Ward will lead the strategic efforts of the organization in expanding its capacity in assisting public school students in the greater Washington, D.C. area to prepare for and succeed in postsecondary education. 

“I am excited for the energy, enthusiasm, and the expertise that Ken will bring to College Bound in his new role as Executive Director,” commented Michael S. Warsaw, Chairman of College Bound’s Board of Directors and Partner at Ernst and Young, LLP. “His contributions and efforts to date have assisted so many students in the greater Washington Metropolitan Area in establishing, stretching, and achieving their educational goals. I look forward to Ken’s leadership in broadening College Bound’s scope to assist a greater number of students in meeting their fullest academic potential.”  

As a Fulbright Memorial scholar and a seasoned D.C. educator and administrator, Ward has been instrumental in creating academic and personal enrichment programs for students, such as the Young Ambassadors program and the Ski club. He has participated in the International Teacher Exchange program where he studied best practices in Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia. 

Ward holds a bachelor degree in communications from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in education from Trinity.
